Most of the pictures I took are vertical ones. As the sun light comes into the canyon through the top of the crack, the variation of color on the rocks is stronger vertically than horizontally. As for my tastes, I prefered the strong contrast of colors so I took almost all my picture to favor this effect. Eventually, I took some horizontal ones so I could compare. Here is one of them
